Dear Summer, IT's been more than Real.

I am five days out of my last official childhood summer. These four months have flown by much too fast. The summer was, as all others have gone, one for the books. Getting to move 2,667 miles across the country to the dreamland of Southern California, opened so many more opportunities as well as countless new adventures. I have seen the Milky Way at 180 degrees, spent all my savings, hiked canyons, swam the pacific, pushed couches under overpasses, found a new favorite surf lookout, biked mountains, scored 3 new pairs of sunglasses, furnished an apartment with all up cycled furniture, petted 32 different goats, finished up another internship, lived penny to penny without a paycheck, ate far too much Kraft Macncheese, watched fireworks in a parking lot, saw the sunrise in the Mohave, learned that Vermont has the best syrup, became too savvy with public transportation, drank too many vodka sprites like a loser, slept on only a mattress on the floor, had my first long term rental car, became craigslist's number one user, lived once again with my best friend and when it was all said and done I had 10$ to spare in my bank account upon arriving home three weeks ago. I call that a win win.

And now I start the most grueling semester of school, with new classes, two thesis projects and new internships all while planning my next life move post graduation. "Should be fun!" said no one ever. Slim are the days of careless living, one more semester of schooling stand between me and the real world. One more ride on the carousel, then I'm off, back to wishing it was once again summer everyday from here on out.

With Summer Love,
